Hello and welcome! I’m Carly, the gal behind Papers & Airplanes. This blog focuses on two of my favorite things: books and travel. For me, books and travel are a natural pair. When I’m on the road, I’ve always got a travel book. When I’m home, books transport me around the world. So, here I write guides to help you find your next favorite book and plan your next adventure.

A bit more about me: I was born and raised in Southern California, went to college in Oregon (go Ducks!!), came back to LA for grad school, and then spent some time abroad. I now live Georgia with my husband and children.
