About the Valley Relics Museum
The Valley Relics Museum is a nonprofit museum dedicated to collecting, preserving, and displaying pieces from the history of the San Fernando Valley and the wider area.
The museum was previously located in the Chatsworth neighborhood. It continued to expand until it recently moved to its current home at the Van Nuys Airport.
The museum is full of awesome items from the local area’s past. You’ll find memorabilia from movies, television shows, and concerts, along with photos of celebrities and bits of Valley culture. There are knick-knacks and photographs from local businesses. BMX bikes, cars, pinball machines, and mementos are included as well. Perhaps the museum’s biggest draw, though, is its collection of large, bright, vintage neon signs from The Valley’s past.
The museum is also home to a great shop. Just inside the entrance you’ll pass through the shop, full of t-shirts and retro-themed items.
The Valley Relics Museum also hosts a variety of events, sometimes in conjunction with My Valley Pass. For even more vintage Valley fun, check out the museum’s Facebook page, which is full of great historical photographs (and local event information).
